IRAN: NINE PRISONERS HANGED IN PRISONS

January 6, 2016: The mullahs’ regime hanged at least nine people in prisons across Iran.
At least five prisoners were hanged in the notorious Gohardasht (Rajai-Shahr) Prison in Karaj, north-west of the Iranian capital Tehran. They were identified as Maqsoud Mehdizadeh, Sadeq Heidari, Mehdi Sadeqi, Amirhamid Khodabandeh-lou and Mahmoud Nasir-nejad.
Another three prisoners were hanged in Nazarabad, in the northern province of Alborz. They were accused of drugs-related charges.
At least one other prisoner was hanged in a prison in Hamedan, western Iran, although there are reports that there may have been more executions there. (Source: NCRI, 07/01/2016)
