IRAN: THREE PRISONERS HANGED IN MASHHAD
June 6, 2016: three men, aged 30, 35 and 40, who had been sentenced by the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad, north-east Iran, were hanged in the central prison of Mashhad, the state-run Rokna website wrote.
According to the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center, at least 195 executions were carried out in Iran since the beginning of 2016 to June 1, of which 84 announced by the authorities.
Three of those executed were women and two are believed to have been juvenile offenders. (Sources: NCRI, 08/06/2016)
