ENDED IN OPERA PRISON IN MILAN THE VIII CONGRESS OF ‘HANDS OFF CAIN-SPES CONTRA SPEM’
December 24, 2019: As you know, the VIII Congress of "Hands off Cain-Spes contra spem" (in its new name) ended in the Opera prison in Milan on 21 December 2019 with the election of a new Council Board (https://www.nessunotocchicaino.it/documento/organi-dirigenti-di-nessuno-tocchi-caino-50314441) which has reconfirmed us in the positions of Secretary, Treasurer and President.
We are glad that Santi Consolo and Professors Tullio Padovani and Andrea Saccucci are part of the Presidency of Honor.
We have also set 2,000 members to be reached in 2020, despite having still not closed those of 2019, to achieve the objectives of the motion (https://www.nessunotocchicaino.it/notizia/carcere-concluso-viii-congresso-di-nessuno-tocchi-caino-spes-contra-spem-nel-carcere-di-opera-50314425) unanimously approved and which from now on sees us committed, among other things, to take initiatives aimed at overcoming, after the death penalty and punishment until death, even death for punishment, the absurd belief that violence and pain of the crime must necessarily correspond to equal and opposite violence and pain, those inflicted by the judgment and punishment of criminal law and of its last appendix, the prison, a place structurally of torture and suffering, of inhuman and degrading affliction and treatment.
