More than 500 executions in Iran since the beginning of 2026
Over the past two days, HRANA reported the execution of 17 prisoners in various prisons across the country.
On February 14,
- 4 men were hanged in Urmia Prison on murder charges. Further details regarding this case, including the identification of these four prisoners, are still under review by HRANA.
On February 15,
- Mohammadshah Rashidi and
- Ali Davtalab Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
- Siros Alizadeh in Nowshahr Prison,
- Amir Khan Mohammadi in Bandar Abbas Prison,
- Sohrab Daei in Ardabil Prison,
- Esmat Najafi (a woman) in Qom Prison,
- Sasan Pazouki in Semnan Prison, and
- Ali Ashraf Rahmati in Borujerd Prison were all executed on murder charges.
- Ali Nouri in Naein Prison,
- Foroud Khalili and
- 1 unidentified prisoner in Arak Prison,
- Hassan Doosti in Tabriz Prison,
- Mostafa Cheshmi in Qazvin Prison were executed on drug charges.
At the time of this report, authorities have not officially announced the executions of these prisoners.
