IRAN: EIGHT PEOPLE HANGED IN QOM
January 1, 2011: Eight people were hanged in the prison of Qom, south of Tehran, state run news agency Fars reported.
Quoting Mostafa Barzegar Ganji, the prosecutor of Qom, the people who were hanged in Qom today were all convicted of drug trafficking and were sentenced to death by the revolutionary court. (Sources: Iran Human Rights, 01/01/2011)
