IRAN: THREE HANGED FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING
May 3, 2011: Iran hanged three convicted drug traffickers, official sources reported.
Two men were executed on May 3 in the northern city of Sari, the provincial judiciary department said on its website. The website quoted provincial judiciary chief Asadollah Jafari as saying the two had been sentenced to death for "buying and selling narcotics." It did not give their names.
On April 29 one man was hanged in public in the southwest town of Mahshahr, reported the official website of the judiciary in Khuzestan province. The man who was identified as "A.
