IRAN: FIVE DRUG TRAFFICKERS HANGED
May 10, 2011: Authorities in Iran have hanged five convicted drug-traffickers in the country's northwest area, a media report in Teheran said. The hanging was carried out immediately after the convicts were awarded death sentence by a court in Orumieh, the capital of West Azerbaijan Province.
Esfandiar Mandahki, Teimur Aiubian, Aref Rashid-pour and two other unnamed men were hanged in the main prison of Orumieh, Iranpressnews reported. (Sources: Indo-Asian News Service, 11/05/2011)
