IRAN: CONVICTED RAPIST HANGED IN PUBLIC
November 12, 2011: Iran hanged in public a man convicted of various charges, including rape, abduction and threatening police forces, in a northern city.
The man, identified only as Mostafa P., 26, was executed in Noshahr, some 110 kilometres (nearly 68 miles) north of the capital Tehran, the hardline Javan daily reported. (Sources: Afp, 14/11/2011)
