IRAN: THREE PRISONERS HANGED

April 13, 2015: three prisoners were hanged in Iran between April 11 and 12.
According to unofficial reports two prisoners were hanged in the morning April 11 in the prison of Zahedan (Baluchistan Province, Southeastern Iran). Several unofficial sources have also reported about the transfer of 16 prisoners for execution in Karaj (west of Tehran). These prisoners are scheduled to be executed in the coming days.
On April 12 one prisoner was hanged in the city of Mehriz (Yazd Province, Central Iran) early in the morning, reported the Iranian state media. The prisoner who was not identified by name was convicted of murdering a 9 year old child, said the report. (Sources: Iran Human Rights; April 12, 2014)
