BAHRAIN: APPEALS COURT UPHOLDS THREE BOMB BLAST DEATH SENTENCES
December 4, 2016: A Bahraini Appeal Court upheld three death sentences and seven life terms against a group convicted of planting a bomb in March 2014 in Al-Daih, a Shiite village west of Manama, which killed an Emirati officer and two Bahraini policemen.
In October, the court of cassation had ordered a retrial in the case of the 10 defendants, including Sami Mushaima, Abbas Al-Sameea and Ali Abdulshaheed Al-Singace, who had been sentenced to death by the Fourth High Criminal Court on 26 February 2015. (Sources: Bahrain Mirror and AFP, 05/12/2016)
