PAKISTAN: FOUR MORE DEATH ROW CONVICTS HANGED
July 30, 2015: At least four death row prisoners were executed in different cities of Punjab early in the morning.
A death row convict Jahandad Khan was executed in Rawalpindiâs Adiala Jail. A court had awarded death sentence to him over murder of a man in year 2002. Another murder convict Arshad was also executed in Adiala Jail for a murder in 2001. Death row convict Israr Ahmad was executed in New Central Jail, Bahawalpur. Israr Ahmad was guilty of killing a man in Bahalnagar.
Another death row prisoner was hanged in District Jail Sargodha. Prisoner Tariq had killed his opponent in 2000 after an exchange of harsh words. Since the de facto ban on capital punishment ended on 17 December 2014, 196 people, including 25 convicted terrorists, have been executed across the country.
