PAKISTAN: FIVE MORE DEATH ROW PRISONERS EXECUTED IN LAHORE AND RAWALPINDI
July 31, 2015: Five murder convicts were executed in two jails across Punjab.
Nadeem Shahzad, Samar Khan and Riaz Yousuf were hanged in Lahoreâs Kot Lakhpat Jail. Shahzad and Khan were sentenced to death for the kidnapping and murder of a young child in 1998, while Riaz Yousuf was executed for the murder of two persons in the Shalimar area of Lahore.
Meanwhile, murder convicts Muhammad Ashraf and Zafar Iqbal were hanged in Rawalpindiâs Adiala Jail. Both were sentenced to death for the murder of two persons in separate cases, with the former being convicted in 2000 and the latter in 2002.
