SAUDI ARABIA: FIVE CONVICTED CRIMINALS EXECUTED IN MADINAH
May 10, 2009: five men sentenced to death for crimes including theft, child abduction, rape, and alcohol and drug violations were beheaded in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
Sultan Bin Sulayman Bin Muslim al-Muwallad, a Saudi Arabian, and âIssa bin Muhammad âUmar Muhammad, a Chadian, were executed after being convicted of a number of offences committed when they were 17 years old, Amnesty International revealed.
The three other men executed are: Sultan Ben Khalid Ben Mahmud al Maskati, Yusef Ben Hassan Ben Salman al Muwallad and Qassim Ben Ali Ben Ibrahim Al Nakhli. The four Saudis and the citizen of Chad were convicted of âabducting children and raping them,â in addition to consuming alcohol and drugs and thievery, the interior ministry said in a statement carried by SPA state official news agency.
